In the Republic of San Marino the service of collection of municipal solid waste is the responsibility of the State and is carried out by the Autonomous State for Public Service (AASS). Inside there is a dell’AASS department, the Urban Cleaning Service, which is responsible for the collection of municipal solid waste in the Republic. Municipal solid waste once collected, are included at the center of multiraccolta of San Giovanni where are racked in vehicles by conveyor belt to be disposed of in italian landfills. As you can see from the pictures the system is fully integrated in the badlands of San Giovanni and minimized environmental impact.
